Star Wars: Visions Season 2 will be released on May 4th – Star Wars Day – on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar, Lucasfilm has announced. Announced as “Volume 2,” the series will feature nine animated short episodes that explore new stories set in a galaxy far, far away. While Season 1 featured an art style inspired by Japanese anime, the upcoming chapter takes a global approach, with nine different studios from around the world bringing their perspectives. The list also includes an Indian entry in 88 Pictures, known for its contribution to franchises like Shrek and Kung Fu Panda.
Volume 2 promises a unique animation style in each episode that represents each studio’s vision. “The reaction to the first volume of Star Wars: Visions blew us away. We’re delighted that this project has inspired and resonated with so many people,” said James Vaugh, Executive Producer. Star Wars: Visions, said in a statement. “We are so proud to unveil the lineup of studios we have put together. Each short film is incredible, full of heart, scope, imagination and the values that make stories distinctive war of stars – and at the same time open up bold new perspectives on what a war of stars History can be.”

This time, “The Pit” is the only episode of Star Wars: Visions Season 2 to feature an anime-inspired style, and it is being conceived as a direct collaboration between them D’art Shtajio and Lucasfilm. The former is known for musicians The Snow Child by Weeknd music video and was previously involved in one attack on Titan Consequence. Back in NovemberLucasfilm collaborated with acclaimed artist and animator Hayao Miyazaki Studio Ghiblias a surprise, a hand-drawn animated short called Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies. Studio triggerwho’s been in the spotlight lately thanks to his work at Netflix Cyberpunk: EdgerunnerHe was involved in two episodes of Star Wars: Visions Season 1 but is not in the lineup this time.
Additionally, Disney+ introduced a new one key art for his forthcoming The Mandalorian Season 3which premieres on March 1st. All nine episodes of Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 will be available on Disney+ and for streaming Disney+ Hotstar on May 4th.
