Ms. Taiariol is an IT project manager at the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department, where she is collaborating across multiple platforms, including initiating an expanded customer service portal project that will make online bill payment and usage data readily available. She was also involved in the streamlining of the department’s fleet program toward more sophisticated automation and management of preventive maintenance. In addition, Ms. Taiariol is an expert in records management and consistently works with vendors to achieve improved efficiency and security.
Ms. Taiariol brings deep industry experience to her role at the Water Board, a position she accepted in 2017. For example, in 2016 she was a Documentation Specialist at the Great Lakes Water Authority and from 2009 to 2015 she was a Government Program Administrator and Project Manager at Health Alliance Plan (HAP). Her corporate training experience extends to a 15-year tenure at Kmart and a position as a training manager at NBD Bank (later known as First Chicago, then Bank One), where she implemented a cross-state deployment training program. Covering 20,000 employees per year from a single provider. Ms. Taiariol also served as PMO coordinator at GM in Warren, Michigan from 2004-2005 and as project coordinator for in-house training at Blue Cross Blue Shield/Compuware from 1995-2004.
A broad academic background has been instrumental in supporting Ms. Taiariol’s professional endeavors. She received a Masters of Education in Adult Education from Central Michigan University in 2008 and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from George Mason University in 1980. Critical references in the industry are also an important basis for Ms. Taiariol: she became a designated Project Management Professional (PMP) after completing her education at the Project Management Institute in 2000, and via LinkedIn Ms. Taiariol has acquired additional relevant expertise by offering programs such as Strategic Agility and Software Testing in 2021 and Systems Thinking, Building Resilience and Managing Virtual Teams in 2020.
Contributing to society is important to Ms. Taiariol, and she volunteered as a group leader with the Girl Scouts of America. She was also President of the International Farm and Garden Association, the Warren Branch.
