He ended up signing a letter of intent to play football at Brigham Young University in the spring of 1972 but later received a full ride track scholarship which he anxiously accepted and concentrated solely on track. He earned diverse experience across the course of his career competing at this level.
Mr. Barton accumulated critical expertise in computer skills; moreover, he remains committed to evolving technology trends. He is the webmaster of his high school alumni website as well as dozens of other business and personal websites. Additionally, he has offered valuable concrete contracting services through his business Barton Curb and Landscape, LLC since 1982. He also provides architectural 3D rendering services to help in a complete visualization of construction projects.
Mr. Barton avidly pursues creative endeavors and has authored one publication titled “Dealing With Goliath: A Test of Faith and Endurance.” The book, marketed and distributed by Xlibris Corporation in 2010, relies on narratives and lessons related to his youth and family life, including his mother’s heart wrenching betrayal from the love of her life as well as health issues as a result of contracting multiple sclerosis at age 25.
