The name may have changed in the last year but the Chilterns Neuro Centre is continuing to provide the same great service to its members it always has with nearly all respondents (98%) to a survey saying they would recommend the Centre to anyone else with a neurological condition, or their carers.
The Centre provides a wide range of treatments and services such as physiotherapy and hydrotherapy as well as a range of therapeutic leisure groups to people affected by MS, Parkinson’s and strokes, helping them to manage their condition and live life to the full. According to an overwhelming majority of respondents (94%), the services provided by the Centre cannot be provided elsewhere.
Nearly all respondents to the survey (96%) indicated that the Centre helped them manage their symptoms at least most of the time while a significant percentage also indicated that the Centre helped improve both their physical and mental health (91% and 90%, respectively).
“We are so very proud of the team here – staff and volunteers – for all they have achieved,” said Richard Parkin, Chief Executive at the Centre. “Despite the challenges we faced last year; welcoming more members, supporting more conditions during a cost of living crisis and finding more avenues for funding, the survey shows our members are feeling even more supported and that is down to the hard work and loyalty of the team.”
So many positive comments were received as part of the survey and these included the two below from members of the Centre.
“Everyone at the Centre is always so friendly and welcoming. All the staff, volunteers and members make visiting the Centre a very good experience.”
“Thanks to the Centre I am able to be part of a community, and able to access five star treatment with amazing understanding staff.”
