A seasoned professional with a Master of Science in nonprofit management, Ms. Jennings serves as a behavioral health systems improvement specialist at Lewis & Clark County Public Health. In this role, she is responsible for identifying gaps and improving access to mental health and substance use disorder crisis services across urban and rural areas. She collaborates with a leadership team comprised of key community figures to develop an inclusive behavioral health crisis system. Her work includes implementing the three pillars of the crisis now model and providing immediate behavioral health crisis response through a no-wrong-door approach. Prior to her current role, Ms. Jennings has held various positions to improve lives, services and systems. Most recently, she has been the executive director for Literacy Volunteers of Greater Worcester and Jericho Road Worcester, agency relations coordinator and community liaison for Worcester County Food Bank, and vice president of administration for Dress for Success Worcester’s board of directors. Her earlier years as an intake specialist for an Intensive Day Treatment Program at Community Healthlink in Massachusetts provided foundational knowledge and passion for behavioral health.

Ms. Jennings’ career is marked by her dedication to organizational development and her significant contributions to improving behavioral health systems. Her expertise has been instrumental in creating cultural changes within the systems she works with, making them more inclusive and effective.

Ms. Jennings’ academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in psychology, with a concentration in women’s studies, from Worcester State University, where she also completed her master’s degree. Her educational pursuits have been pivotal in her professional development, equipping her with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in her field. Ms. Jennings attributes her success to her passion for teaching and learning, which allows her to contribute to workforce development and systemic change within the behavioral health sector.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Jennings is actively involved in state regional access, education and grant fund distribution for behavioral health expansion with the Central Service Area Board. She is also recognized as the first behavioral health person to be hired in public health in Montana, pioneering a new role within the state’s public health system. Outside of work, Ms. Jennings enjoys cross-country skiing, hiking, photography and spending time with her family. She plans to continue her vital work in behavioral health systems improvement, contributing to the advancement of the crisis now model and advocating for sustainable services for individuals and family while building a healthier and safer community.
