OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – St. Cloud-based Florida Little Dog Rescue Group has announced that seven of its pups are set to steal the spotlight in Puppy Bowl XX on Animal Planet, airing Sunday, Feb. 11.
The record-breaking Puppy Bowl will feature 131 puppies from 73 shelters and rescues across 36 states and territories, organizers said in a news release.
Among the lineup, Sweetpea, the all-time smallest pup at 1.7 lbs, and Levi the Great Dane, the largest at 72 lbs, will add excitement to the three-hour television matchup.

Representing Florida Little Dog Rescue Group are Elinor (Chow Chow), Athena (Chihuahua), Beemo (Schnauzer/Dachshund), Dash (Pomeranian), Wilson (Westie), Chester (Corgi), and Taylor (Shih Tzu). Adding to the thrill, Bubba (Puppy Bowl XI) and Clara (Puppy Bowl XV) are set to be inducted into the Puppy Bowl Hall of Fame, the rescue group said on its website.
“We are so excited to have such amazing pups help people all over the country learn what amazing pups you can find in rescue, as every one of the pups playing in Puppy Bowl is a rescue/shelter pup,” the organization said.
Viewers can catch the pre-game show at 1 p.m., followed by the main event at 3 p.m. on Feb. 11.
In a unique twist, this year’s Puppy Bowl features puppies taking over production, operating cameras, directing from the control room, and even coaching Team Ruff and Team Fluff.
