With more than two decades of excellence in soil and groundwater remediation, Mr. Nichols has earned distinction as a senior engineer for TRC Companies, Inc. Since 2000, he has focused his efforts on designing and implementing remediation strategies for contaminated waste sites, overseeding a team of engineers and supporting project teams and stakeholders. He is most proud to have played a significant role in the revitalizing Harrison Avenue Landfill in the City of Camden, New Jersey. It was redeveloped from a dilapidated landfill to housing the Salvation Army Center and the Cramer Hill Waterfront Park.

Through his career, Mr. Nichols has worked on sites across the United States, but with a focus on the east coast. His work has covered residential, commercial, industrial and transportation facilities and unclosed landfills, leading to a diverse background of contaminants and site settings.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Nichols earned a Bachelor of Engineering in soil and groundwater remediation from the Stevens Institute of Technology in 2000. Following this achievement, he attained a Master of Engineering in environmental engineering from the same institution in 2010. Well-qualified in his field, he is a licensed professional engineer.

Looking to the future, Mr. Nichols intends to expand the team he is leading and make it more diverse, allowing him to take on more wastewater treatment projects and promote green and sustainable practices in the remediation industry. Passionate about his profession, he feels a personal connection to the clean-up of a contaminated site and is grateful to have a career where he can combine this with his love for math and science.
