Images of the Logitech G handheld gaming console were leaked online, indicating that it may be powered by Android. Evan Blass shared the newly deleted images, which showed a white device with a Nintendo Switch-like form factor and X/Y/A/B buttons. Logitech G, Logitech’s gaming hardware brand, announced earlier this month that it has partnered with Tencent Games to “bring a cloud gaming handheld to market later this year.”
The images were obtained by 9to5google before they were removed from Evan Blass’ Twitter handle. According to the publication, the “Logitech G Gaming Handheld” has a Nintendo Switch-like form factor. It may be available in at least one colour, white. The images depict black thumb sticks, large bezels, a D-Pad, and X/Y/A/B buttons, as well as a few additional keys. There are four trigger buttons and a memory card slot is possible.
It is also expected to have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Android may power the handheld device. In the navigation sections of the “Logitech G Gaming Handheld,” the screen displays Google Play Store, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce Now, Steam, Chrome, and YouTube.
Logitech G and Tencent Games announced earlier this month that they will release a cloud gaming handheld console later this year “that will combine Logitech G’s expertise in hardware with Tencent Games’ expertise in software services.” According to the announcement, the device will support a variety of cloud gaming services, and both companies are collaborating with the Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now teams.
“Logitech G and Tencent Games share a mutual vision of the future of gaming and are committed to ensuring the quality of experience comes together seamlessly to deliver on the exciting promise of cloud gaming,” the companies said in a joint statement.
