Mr. Koutroubis is an award-winning producer, writer, and director who spearheads two successful businesses in the media and entertainment sector. Since 2021, he has served as the chief executive officer at Koutroubis International in Montreal. He also co-founded Cinemagi Productions in 2011, an international production company that teams up with many countries worldwide and comprises a team of talented artists from various parts of the world.

As a filmmaker, Mr. Koutroubis has garnered notoriety for inclusion at over 80 international film festivals. He also received recognition for his work on “Ouverture,” a film project that won 30 awards and 10 Honorable Mention Awards. His project Agriolouloudo has won 20 Awards across several cities worldwide. As a testament to his success, one of Mr. Koutroubis’ leading actors, Nick Drossos, also recently won his first award for Best Actor in the film “Agriolouloudo.” He will be releasing a volume of books on filmmaking in 2024.

In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Mr. Koutroubis has been the technical director for the film and television program at Trebas Institute in Montreal since 2011 and teaching the art of cinematography, writing, directing, and producing. Drawing a deep sense of satisfaction and pride in teaching and witnessing his students succeed when securing positions in the industry, Mr. Koutroubis also employs some of his former students to work alongside him at his production company Cinemagi Productions.

Passionate about giving back, Mr. Koutroubis is a member of The Order of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA). Founded in 1922, AHEPA focuses on community service and volunteerism to promote the ancient Hellenic ideals of education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, family, and individual excellence.

Mr. Koutroubis studied cinematography and film and video production at Trebas Institute, where he is presently a faculty member, graduating summa cum laude in 2006. In light of his success, he received over 70 awards and recognitions for his work as a producer, director, writer, and cinematographer, including over two dozen in the past year alone. Mr. Koutroubis also received a Certificate of Excellence and a Kodak Film Award from Trebas Institute. Attributing his strong work ethic and determination to much of his success, he credits these qualities to his hardworking immigrant parents, who taught him the importance of persevering while coming of age.
