NITI Aayog, India’s government-backed think tank, has launched a blockchain module to help local developers explore the sector’s potential with experimental use cases, trial and error. Indian blockchain platform 5ire has been involved as co-contributors in organizing this initiative along with career mentoring platform Network Capital of NITI Aayog. The move supports Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s repeated statement that while India is skeptical about cryptocurrencies, the nation is excited to realize the potential of the underlying blockchain technology.
The NITI Aayog aims to promote the culture of entrepreneurship among young Indians as part of its Atal Innovation Mission (AIM). His Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) allegedly works with over 10,000 schools across India to enable students to be exposed to tech trends from an early age.
the Blockchain Technology provides the backbone infrastructure Web3 and many of its other elements like cryptocurrency, NFTsand the metaverse.
Indian web designers are therefore curious to see to what extent blockchain can be used in the next upcoming phase of the internet. NITI Aayog has called out all these developers who can benefit from this blockchain initiative.

“Blockchain is playing a critical role in revolutionizing businesses and redefining economies. It has the potential to unlock tremendous opportunities for youth, and this module will introduce sixth grade students and up to the concepts of blockchain that will help them solve societal problems through its application. The module covers the fundamental aspects of blockchain and moves on to its case-based application in different industries,” explains Mission Director Chintan Vaishnav said in a statement by NITI Aayog.
India is projected to produce over five million software engineers this year. 2022, coin base Boss Brian Armstrong had made a special trip to India pitch jobs in the industry to engineers who study here at the best colleges and universities.
To protect people who try their hand in this sector, companies like CoinDCX have decided to launch awareness initiatives across the country to educate people about crypto and blockchain.
Proper information about these advanced technologies is the need of the hour at this time as the blockchain itself has started to attract the attention of India’s startups and governmental communities.
the Government of Maharashtrafor example, partnered with the Algorand blockchain in December last year to store health data permanently and immutably as NFTs.
Last October, the Firozabad Police Department launched a new complaints forum built on top of the Polygon blockchain to ensure consistency of details in the cases that would be investigated. All data stored in the blockchain network cannot be changed or edited.
“It’s just common for an emerging technology to introduce new vocabulary. Blockchain is not only a complex innovation, but also different from what internet users are used to. This makes the technology a bit difficult to understand. It’s not rocket science, however. As more users develop interest in blockchain, the technology unravels,” NITI Aayog said in a statement.
