Toyota Motor North America announced Thursday that it is teaming up with Texas-based electric power distribution specialist Oncor Electric Delivery to collaborate on a vehicle-to-grid pilot project. Toyota said the deal is its first electric vehicle charging utility contract. The technology enables vehicles to feed energy from their battery back into the grid. U.S.-listed Toyota shares are down 21.9% in 2022, compared to a 28.6% decline in the Nasdaq.
