Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro now offers the ability to record 360-degree sound for videos on users’ phones. Galaxy Buds 2 Pro can record binaural audio, which can then be matched with video from a Samsung Galaxy smartphone running One UI 5.0. Samsung’s new 360 Audio Recording app, now available for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, allows you to use Galaxy Buds 2 Pro as left and right microphones for videos recorded on your phones became. When played back through stereo headphones, the sound gives the impression of being where it was recorded.
Samsung said in a press release, “The feature captures 360-degree sound with a microphone in each earbud, putting viewers in the middle of a roaring festival crowd or next to a bubbling creek in the middle of a forest. Users can plug in connected headphones and play the video on their device or social media channel to hear lifelike and immersive audio that mimics a personal experience.”
The microphones essentially mimic the human ear to create a very realistic three-dimensional sound effect. LE Audio expands the spectrum of audio perception to create more refined and richer sound that can be shared with others. LE Audio introduces binaural recording to the Galaxy Buds 2 Prousing both the left and right microphones at the same time.
Starting today, the new 360 audio recording feature will be rolled out continuously on Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. Galaxy ZFlip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 about software upgrades. The upcoming Galaxy S23 range is expected to support the feature as well.
Galaxy Buds 2 Pro were released in August 2022 and are available in Indian markets for Rs. 17,999. On Samsung Galaxy devices running Android 12-based One UI 4.0 or later, these earbuds enable 24-bit Hi-Fi audio. The earphones feature active noise cancellation (ANC) and three microphones with a high signal-to-noise ratio. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are also configured to distinguish between noise and human voices, allowing them to switch to ambient mode as soon as they recognize speech. This mode effectively reduces media volume, allowing users to have a conversation without having to take off their earbuds.
