Spotify, the music and podcast streaming service, is launching a redesigned user interface for Android and iOS users worldwide. The company made the announcement at its Stream On event, which showcased a vertical home feed similar to TikTok and Instagram. The app has also made it easier to discover new music and other content on the app via newly introduced features. Users see previews for music, podcasts, and shows. Meanwhile, audiobooks also appear on the home screen, while new feeds are accessible to explore in the search panel.

The redesigned user interface was announced by Spotify about a Newsroom post and the company says the updated UI will add a personalized, curated preview of songs, podcasts, and audiobooks to the home feed — users can save the track with a single tap. Spotify added new feeds – Music, Podcasts and Audiobooks. These offer personalized recommendations of titles based on user choices.

Similarly, podcasts and audiobook feeds offer personalized suggestions for new and popular episodes and shows, as well as audiobooks, according to Spotify. Users can quickly access their favorite shows at the top of the feed. It also allows users to preview an episode or chapter without sound with real-time transcripts, while video podcast preview allows you to watch and listen to the conversation. In particular, the audio preview can take up to five minutes.

After previewing, users can click the plus sign (+) and save their favorite content to your consequences or your library. You can also download or queue by tapping the three dots at the bottom of the preview. You can listen to a track, album, playlist, or episode from the beginning by playing it, or continue the rest of the preview where it left off.

The streaming service also announced that Spotify Premium subscribers in the US and Canada will soon have access to the new AI-powered DJ feature. Additionally, animated song canvases are added to the audio previews.

Spotify launches the new Home Feed for all Spotify Premium and Free users worldwide on iOS and iOS Android. Music and podcast previews are available in all markets, while audiobook previews are only available in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, according to the company.
