The LG MoodUp fridge, the company’s latest smart refrigerator, was unveiled at IFA 2022. The latest fridge from the South Korean company allows users to select from a variety of colors to light up LED panels on the front of the appliance. It has several RGB panels on the fridge’s doors, and users can select from 22 different colors for the upper doors and 19 different colors for the lower panels. Color and nature-themed themes are also available for customization. The LG MoodUP fridge also has a Bluetooth speaker that can be paired with a smartphone to stream music, and the LED panels can change colors.

While competitor Samsung offers customization options with its Bespoke refrigerators, the new LG MoodUp fridge takes customization to the next level by allowing users to connect their smartphones and change the colors of the fridge on the fly. The company has yet to reveal pricing and availability details in the United States, and there is no word on when the new fridge will be available in India.

LG claims that the MoodUp refrigerator’s LED door panels will allow users to customize the look and feel of the appliance by applying color-based themes such as Season, Place, Mood, and Pop. Users can also manually select from 22 color options for the top doors, and 19 colors for the bottom doors.

The new LG refrigerator, which includes a Bluetooth-capable speaker, allows users to connect to a smartphone, tablet, or laptop to play music, while the LED panels change colors in sync with the music. LG claims that when the panels are turned off, the fridge has a Lux Gray and Lux White design.

The LG MoodUp fridge has WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as an on-device AI chip with voice recognition support. When the fridge door is left open, users can be notified by the left door blinking repeatedly. The panels can also blink when you approach the fridge — the freezer door, according to the company, glows brighter at night to help owners open the door.
