Apple is expected to offer the Dynamic Island feature, which made its debut on the current-gen iPhone 14 Pro, on all four iPhone 15 models. This feature is designed to make the most of the space wasted around the notch on the front where the TrueDepth sensor resides. Dynamic Island can display notifications and can be used to manage music streaming, among other things, once apps add support for the feature. It was introduced with the iPhone 14 series but was limited to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models.

Mark Gurman suggests in his latest issue On Newsletter that all four models in the iPhone 15 series will come with Apple’s Dynamic Island. According to reports, the screen size of these handsets will not change from the current generation models. The iPhone 15 series will also come with a USB Type-C connector in line with the Common EU legislation for chargers.

The Cupertino company is said to have replaced the stainless steel frame with a titanium frame on the Pro models as well. These phones are expected to be powered by a chipset faster than the Apple A16 that powers the current-gen Pro models. A recently report suggests the rumored Apple A17 chipset could use TSMC’s 3nm process for up to 35% more power efficiency.

Gurman Expectations that Apple has poured most of its resources into preparing its mixed reality headset for a possible unveiling during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. As a result, the software department is reportedly prioritizing the headset’s own xrOS operating system. Apple is believed to have several hardware and software kinks to work on this headset.

According to Gurman, this reallocation of resources has also reportedly cost iOS 17 some new features. This new operating system, codenamed Dawn, could only offer a few major changes now; iPadOS 17 and macOS 14 could also suffer the same fate.
