AT&T Will Not Offer Google's Pixel 9 Pro Fold

Earlier today, Google officially unveiled the Pixel 9 series, which includes the much-anticipated Pixel 9 Pro Fold. However, if AT&T is your preferred carrier, there is some disappointing news for you: AT&T has decided not to offer the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Despite having previously offered the original Pixel Fold and planning to stock all other Pixel 9 models, AT&T will not include the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in its lineup. The carrier has not provided any specific reasons for this decision, which remains unclear and somewhat perplexing.

This decision could impact Google’s sales of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in the United States. AT&T, with nearly 72 million postpaid subscribers, represents a significant portion of the market, and many customers in the US typically purchase new devices through their carriers.

For those who prefer to purchase the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, it will still be available in an unlocked form, which should theoretically work on AT&T’s network. However, as of now, AT&T has not confirmed whether it will certify the device for use on its network, leaving the situation uncertain.

On a positive note for other carriers, Verizon and T-Mobile will be offering the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The device is set to become available on September 4, with a starting price of $1,799.
