Itel S23 was launched in India on Friday as a budget offering from the Chinese smartphone maker. The newest Itel The S Series handset comes in two different color options and the phone’s display features a waterdrop-style notch. It is powered by a Unisoc T606 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. With Memory Fusion technology, the handset’s onboard memory can be virtually expanded up to 16GB by utilizing unused additional memory. It’s backed by a 5,000mAh battery, which is said to deliver up to 15 hours of playback time on a single charge.

Itel S23 price in India, availability

Itel S23 is priced in India at Rs. 8,799 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and it is available for sale exclusively above Amazon launches on June 14th. Pricing for the 4GB + 128GB variant is yet to be announced by the company and it has been confirmed that the handset will be available at retail.

The newly launched Itel S23 is offered in Mystery White and Starry Black color options.

Itel S23 specifications

The dual SIM (nano) Itel S23 runs on Android 12 and features a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS display (720 x 1612 pixels) with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180 Hz The display features a waterdrop-style cutout that houses the selfie camera. The new smartphone features a color-changing panel that changes the white tint of the exterior to pink when exposed to sunlight or UV light.

Under the hood, it’s powered by a 12nm octa-core Unisoc T606 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM. The Itel S23 features the company’s Memory Fusion technology to utilize unused memory as virtual RAM. With this feature, the onboard storage can be expanded up to 16GB.

For photos and videos, the Itel S23 has a dual rear camera with LED flash and a 50 megapixel sensor. For selfies and video calls, it has an 8-megapixel sensor. In addition, the handset comes with 128 GB of built-in UFS 2.2 storage that supports expansion up to 1 TB. It has a fingerprint sensor on the side for authentication. The smartphone should also have a face recognition function.

The Itel S23 packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging and is said to deliver up to 15 hours of battery life on a single charge.
