Former Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth could join Honor as head of India: report

realme appointed Madhav Sheth was appointed Vice President of Business and Corporate Strategy (Global) in March of this year. After a successful phase with realmeSheth will reportedly be leaving the company soon. A new report suggests that the former CEO of Realme India could soon take over the helm of Honor’s Indian office. It is also speculated that Honor, which was previously owned by a Chinese brand Huawei, could re-enter India in August this year. Neither to honornor Sheth have given any updates to these reports.

A ET Telecom report has indicated that Honor’s Indian partner, PSAV Global Tech Private Limited, is in talks with Realme’s formal CEO, Madhav Sheth, as the smartphone company plans to re-enter Indian markets. Another report from Gizmochina quote IANS sources have hinted at this development, mentioning that Sheth may be being pursued by online and offline industry executives to join Honor India.

In March of this year, Sheth was named Global VP of Realme’s Business and Corporate Strategy, meaning he no longer served as CEO of Realme India. Now it is reported that he will leave the company soon, probably within a week. But Sheth declined talks with PSAV Global Tech, according to ET Telecom.

Meanwhile, Honor is reportedly not planning to set up its own team in India and may continue to rely on PSAV Global Tech for now. The company suspended its operations in India last year due to geopolitical tensions between India and China. The move was confirmed by Zhao Ming, CEO of Honor.

Sheth has been an integral part of Realme since 2018. However, he was reportedly not there Realme 11 Pro 5G Series launch event recently in India.

A confirmation of the news is still awaited. Not Realme, Honor, or Sheth. have not disclosed any information yet.
