Google Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a smartphones are expected to debut soon. There have been several reports and leaks related to these handsets in recent months. Expected to debut as Google’s first foldable smartphone, the Pixel Fold is a highly anticipated handset. New reports have leaked the likely Google Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold launch date. The rumored price of these phones and the color options they are expected to arrive in have also been leaked online.
According to a 9to5Google report Citing retail sources, the Google Pixel 7a is expected to cost $499 (around Rs.40,900) in the US. That price is $50 (around Rs.4,100) higher than its predecessor, the Google Pixel 6a, which launched last year. The jump in price is reportedly due to the improvement in the quality of the raw materials used.
The Pixel 7a’s main camera is probably with a 64-megapixel sensor accompanied by a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens. The phone is also expected to be powered by a Tensor G2 chipset, which was also used in the Pixel7 And Pixel 7 Pro Row of smart phones. The upcoming Pixel handset is also expected to feature a new 90Hz display and wireless charging support.
previous reports suggested that the Google Pixel Fold will cost between $1,300 and $1,500 (roughly Rs. 1,07,400 to Rs. 1,23,935). These prices are considerably more expensive than the other models in the Pixel range. The upcoming Pixel Fold is said to be even cheaper than that Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 which costs $1,799.99 (approx. Rs. 1,42,700) in the US.
A tweet by tipster Jon Prosser (Twitter: @jon_prosser) suggests that the Google Pixel 7a will likely launch in Charcoal, Snow, Sea (light blue) and Coral color options – the last color variant will only be available on the Google Store, according to Prosser . The phone will be unveiled on May 10th during the Google I/O event and will also reportedly be available immediately in the US.
In another post Taking to Twitter, Prosser shared design renders of the upcoming Pixel Fold handset, claiming that Google’s first foldable smartphone will likely be unveiled alongside the Pixel 7a at the Google I/O event on May 10th. The tipster claims the phone will be available in the US from June 27, with pre-orders available from the Google Store from May 10 and pre-orders from other partners or carriers from May 30. The phone can be seen in two color options – black and white – in the renders shared by the tipster.
