Honor, the Chinese smartphone maker, is reportedly making a comeback in India. While previously it was said that the smartphone maker had officially withdrawn from the Indian market, Honor said confirmed announced in a statement to Gadgets 360 last year that it would continue to operate in the country. Furthermore, with the latest hint pointing to a comeback of Honor in India with a registered trademark, it is also speculated that former Realme India boss Madhav Sheth has joined Honor as his Twitter bio suggests.

It was reported In June this year, Honor announced that Honor, previously a sub-brand of Chinese brand Huawei, is planning to re-enter Indian markets. It seems like the speculation may soon prove true, as tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) has done tweeted A screenshot revealing Honor’s new registered trademark, referred to as Honor for Knights in India. In the description, the brand is registered in the category “mobile phones and smartphones”.

Additionally, as seen in the leaked screenshot, Madhav Sheth appears to be the owner. This could confirm previous speculation that suggested the former Realme India boss could join Honor. It was first reported in early June that Sheth could be leaving Realme and moving to Honor India. While he confirmed Following his retirement from Realme in a Twitter post, Sheth has yet to mention anything about his affiliation with Honor India.

However, his Twitter organic now reads, “When is the KNIGHT coming?” and hints at Sheth’s association with Honor’s latest brand. The trademark filing date was given as June 13, a day before Sheth announced its exit from Realme India.

In another tweet, tipster Sharma shared a GIF that reads “August,” suggesting that Honor’s upcoming smartphone could be announced in India next month. While neither the company nor Sheth have confirmed anything yet, it would be interesting to see Honor’s upcoming plans for India under the new putative leadership.
