The launch date of the Honor X9a has been confirmed by the company. The handset is just a few weeks away from its Malaysian launch. The Chinese smartphone group has announced that it will launch the Honor X9a on January 4 next year at 7 p.m. (local time). It will be the third Honor X9 series phone to be launched by the company, after the Honor X9 and the Honor X9 5G. The company has also unveiled the design and some of the key specs of this handset.
According to the landing page The Honor X9a shared by the company will be unveiled on January 4 in Malaysia at 7:00 p.m. local time (4:30 p.m. IST). The handset features a curved OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset is presented in a white hue with a hole-punched display cutout for the selfie camera and a large camera ring on the back with multiple sensors and an LED flash.
The Honor X9a is tilted be a rebranded version of the Honor X40 for global markets. The Honor X9a is expected to launch with similar features, including a 6.67-inch curved-edge AMOLED display with a center-aligned hole, Full HD+ support, and a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. It will likely come with an under-display fingerprint scanner.
The Honor X9a is said to run on Android 12, with the company’s Magic UI running on it. It will likely feature the Snapdragon 695 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage.
On the front optics, it could house a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP macro snapper and LED flash on the rear, and an 8MP front camera for selfies. It comes with a 5,100mAh battery that supports 40W wired charging.
