Motorola ThinkPhone, the handset that was previously set to launch as the Moto Edge 40 or Lenovo ThinkPhone, has been leaked online. The images show the design, build and key specs of what is alleged to be a Motorola smartphone. However, the latest leak seems to indicate that the upcoming smartphone will be called “ThinkPhone by Motorola”. The images reveal the specs of the alleged handset, including the display, build materials, camera setup, charging and connectivity options.
Pictures of the Motorola ThinkPhone were leaked by TheTechOutlook, and the handset will reportedly be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage under the hood. Tipster Evan Blass first leaked Details of a similar handset in October that was set to launch as the Lenovo ThinkPhone.
The report states that the alleged smartphone will feature an aluminum frame with aramid fiber inlay measuring 158.76mm x 74.38mm x 8.26mm. Meanwhile, the handset will reportedly sport a 6.6-inch (1,800 x 2,400 pixels) OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, as well as support for HDR content.
On the camera front, the report states that Motorola’s ThinkPhone could feature a triple rear camera, led by a 50-megapixel main camera along with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera of the smartphone is said to be a 32-megapixel camera.
The leaked images also indicate the presence of certain features that could allow integration with Lenovo’s ThinkPad laptops. However, this information is blurry in the leaked images and therefore does not give us any clarity as to what these features could be.
As already mentioned, recently there was a smartphone from Motorola tilted will be launched in some markets as either the Moto Edge 40 Fusion or the Lenovo ThinkPhone, according to the 3C certification database listing. However, it is not clear if TheTechOutlook’s latest leaked marketing images correspond to the same device in the 3C certification database.
It’s also important to note that there hasn’t been any official confirmation from Lenovo or Motorola on the launch of the rumored ThinkPhone.
