Nubia Z50 design revealed; MyOS 13, 64MP rear cameras teased

The Nubia Z50 is set to be officially released in China on December 19, but before that, the ZTE-owned smartphone brand has released images and videos showing the design and some specifications of the upcoming phone. The renders propose three color options for the Nubia Z50. It is shown with a hole punch display on the front to accommodate the selfie shooter. The Nubia Z50 is said to run on the new MyOS 13 operating system and is supported by a 5,000 mAh battery. It will have a dual rear camera led by a 64-megapixel primary sensor. The Nubia Z50 already comes with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

Teaser videos and posters divided through Nubia on Weibo give an insight into the Nubia Z50. As mentioned, the handset comes in three different shades with a hole punched display design. Ring-shaped camera modules with triple rear cameras led by a 64-megapixel primary sensor are placed in the handset’s upper-left corner. Remarkably, the main camera has a red color border and is slightly raised from the phone’s body. It’s teased to feature a 35mm custom optics system and the cameras are said to offer 8K video recording and 4K time-lapse photography. It also supports various other photography modes including starry sky photography.

The Nubia Z50 has been confirmed to run on the new MyOS 13. The company’s latest custom skin comes with a refreshed design, and Nubia claims it will offer a 30 percent increase in overall system performance. The MyOS 13 will likely be based on the new Android 13. It will also feature a multi-dimensional heat dissipation system for heat management while gaming.

The Nubia Z50 is Approved with a 5,000mAh battery that is said to deliver up to 30 days of standby time on a single charge. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage.

ZTE-supported Nubia already has announced that the launch of Nubia Z50 will take place on December 19th. The launch event begins at 2:00 p.m. local time (11:30 a.m. IST).
