OnePlus held the Cloud 11 Launch Event on February 7th, showcasing the OnePlus 11 5G, OnePlus 11R, OnePlus Buds Pro 2, OnePlus Pad, OnePlus TV 65 Q2 Pro and OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro. The company also briefly teased the OnePlus 11 concept smartphone at the event. The concept device, which will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2023 later this month, was further teased by the company when it revealed the design of the upcoming smartphone.

OnePlus officially bullied the first look at the OnePlus 11 Concept device. This model will be presented by OnePlus at the MWC 2023 event taking place on February 27 in Barcelona, Spain. Although the teaser images don’t reveal much about the product, the “icy blue tubes” on the back of the device are said to represent blood vessels.

“The images show the technical breakthroughs of the OnePlus 11 Concept by highlighting the icy blue wires that run through the entire back of the phone, almost as if the OnePlus 11 Concept had its own set of blood vessels. The pipelines of the OnePlus 11 Concept are housed in a bold and futuristic unibody glass design inspired by the calm stillness and immense power of a glacial lake,” the company wrote in a description.

Aside from clarification from OnePlus that this design will be called “Flowing Back”, not much is known about the handset yet.

This design reminds us of the Nothing phone 1. Although the designs of the OnePlus 11 and the Nothing Phone 1 are different, the fact that the OnePlus 11 Concept will have an illuminated back panel may inspire comparisons.

Nothing Phone 1 includes a Glyph interface that allows users to customize the lighting effects on the back of the phone for specific contacts and notifications. It’s unknown if the lights on the back of the OnePlus 11 Concept will serve a similar purpose.

The OnePlus 11 5G was unveiled at the company’s Cloud 11 launch event, which also featured several other devices.
