Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 12 series was launched in China in October last year. The series included the vanilla models Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. The Chinese smartphone maker then added two limited edition variants to the range – the Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition and the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition. The company will now reportedly be adding another special model to the lineup, dubbed the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which has reportedly been spotted in China Compulsory Certification (3C) databases and IMEI certification websites.

The report points out that the rumored addition to the Redmi Note 12 range will have 67W wired fast charging support.
The smartphone used to be tipped are driven QualcommSnapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC, paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The smartphone is also said to have a 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
According to the earlier report, the smartphone could have a triple rear camera. The camera unit may have a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor. In addition, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo Edition is expected to come with a 5,500mAh battery. The recent 3C spot seemed to have confirmed previous suggestions that the smartphone could support 67W wired fast charging.
Meanwhile one more report by Xiaomiui suggests that the handset has also been spotted in the IMEI database. Here, however, it was spotted under a different name, namely Poco X5 GT. This could be the moniker under which the smartphone could launch outside of China, the report added. In addition, the device could run on the Android 13-based MIUI 14. The device was spotted with three model numbers, suggesting there will be as many variants. According to reports, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo China variant carries the model number 23049RAD8C, while the global Poco X5 GT variant carries the model number 23049PCD8G and the Indian variant Poco X5 GT carries the model number 23049PCD8I.
However, it is important to note that Xiaomi has not provided any official confirmation of the launch of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo Edition.
