The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is expected to be Samsung’s upcoming flagship series, which the company is due to launch at a Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event on February 1. Alleged camera samples of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra have now appeared on the Internet, and a Twitter user has also compared them to recordings from a Google Pixel 7 Pro. The leak includes alleged camera sample shots of Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone, nicknamed Ultra, in low-light conditions and shots taken with the smartphone’s dedicated zoom camera.
In a tweet shared on Twitter by tipster Edwards Urbina, which has now been removed, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra model was unboxed in the Cotton Flower colorway, according to a report by 9to5Google.
The Twitter user later shared another series of tweets that appeared to compare alleged footage captured on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone to those captured on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Google Pixel 7 Pro. The shots are said to have been taken using the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s selfie camera, rear camera in low light and the phone’s dedicated zoom camera, which is compared to similar conditions on the Pixel 7 Pro.
The first such tweeta selfie shot allegedly taken with the Samsung Galaxy S23’s front camera is compared to another selfie shot taken with the Google Pixel 7 Pro.
Other tweet by Edwards Urbina, appears to compare macro shots taken with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra to similar shots taken with the Google Pixel 7 Pro. Here, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s sensors appear to be able to capture more light and therefore produce a brighter and more vibrant image than the Pixel 7 Pro.
The Twitter user too appears to compare the camera performance of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra in low light conditions. This is where the Samsung Galaxy S23 seems to fall short compared to the Pixel 7 Pro, with the former producing darker, noisier images than the latter.
The user too divided Shots comparing the zoom camera capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and the Google Pixel 7. Here, at least at first glance, both cameras seem to be pretty much on par.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected will be unveiled by Samsung at the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event, scheduled to begin at 11:30pm IST on February 1st. It’s been hinted that it’s said to have a 12-megapixel 3LU sensor for selfies and a triple camera setup on the rear, which could include a 12-megapixel Sony IMX564 ultra-wide sensor and a Sony IMX754 telephoto lens, while there’s one 200-megapixel HP2 primary sensor.
