Tecno Pop 7 Pro quietly launched in African markets: all the details

The Tecno Pop 7 Pro smartphone was launched quietly in select African markets. The phone is available in Nigeria and Uganda, although the company hasn’t officially announced it yet. The smartphone was also not listed on the official company website at the time of writing this article. As can be seen from the specs and design features, the Tecno Pop 7 Pro is a rebranded Tecno Spark Go 2023 that launched in India earlier this month.

Tecno Pop 7 Pro price, availability

Seen at various African retail outlets sites, the Tecno Pop 7 Pro is available from NGN 64,000 (approx. Rs. 11,400) in the 3GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration in select Nigerian and Ugandan markets. The budget smartphone from techno is offered in at least two color options – turquoise, cyan and atlantic blue.

It was launched as a rebadged version of Techno Spark Go 2023what was revealed in India earlier this month.

Tecno Pop 7 Pro Specifications, Features

The Dual SIM (Nano) Tecno Pop 7 Pro runs Android 12 on HiOS 12.0. The phone’s display is a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS (720 x 1,612 pixels) with a touch sampling rate of 120 Hz and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC with up to powered to 6GB of RAM.

The Teco Pop 7 Pro features a dual rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.85 lens and an AI lens. For selfies and video chats, a 5-megapixel selfie camera sensor is offered in a drop-cut slot along with an LED flash. It has up to 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via the dedicated microSD card slot.

The Tecno Pop 7 Pro supports Dual SIM 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, OTG and USB Type-C connectivity. Tecno also packs a 5,000 mAh battery and a 10 W charger with the Pop 7 Pro. It has dimensions of 163.86 x 75.51 x 8.9 mm.
