The Redmi K60 series will soon be launched in China, Redmi general manager Lu Weibing confirmed Thursday after initial speculation. The Xiaomi executive hasn’t revealed the exact launch date and specs of the models, but a new leak suggests that the latest Redmi K-series phones will be officially launched in China on December 27th. The upcoming lineup is expected to include the regular Redmi K60. and the Redmi K60 Pro. It is scheduled to go on sale from December 31st. The former is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, while the latter could pack a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood.

Lu Weibing, about a post Office on Weibo teased the arrival of the Redmi K60 series. The post doesn’t reveal any details about the smartphone series, but it does claim that the phone will be a “performance universe.” It will also appear with a “Coming Soon” label. However, the exact launch date and time of the launch of the Redmi K60 series is still under wraps.
