Battle Stars adds local characters and maps, available now for iOS and Android

Battle Stars, the online multiplayer shooter game developed by Pune SuperGaming, places great emphasis on localization and solidifies its Indian roots with some interesting new additions to the game. At a recent event in Mumbai, Super Gaming announced a collaboration with popular content creator Techno Gamerz (Ujjwal Chaurasia), introducing a new playable character based on the creator into the game. Battle Stars is available now iOS And Androidand is free to download and play, although there are in-app purchases.

At a Today at Apple event in the new Apple BKC store in Mumbai, SuperGaming has introduced two new playable characters that are already live in Battle Stars. As already mentioned, the first one called “Techno” is based on Content Creator Techno Gamerzpopular for its gaming videos on YouTube and has over 33 million subscribers.

The Techno character will also feature personalized messages and banter based on the Techno Gamerz image and creator Ujjwal Chaurasia’s identity, as well as a unique weapon and objective-based “Techno Quest” quest based on the character. “When SuperGaming showed me how I looked in game, I was super impressed. From subtle animations to my poses and even my mannerisms, there is a lot of care and attention to detail,” said Ujjwal Chaurasia of collaborating with SuperGaming to develop the character.

A second playable character named “Patil” was also introduced; The character resembles a Mumbai policeman and draws on the connection to Mumbai. SuperGaming will soon be introducing another playable character from Mumbai to the game, as well as a new Battle Stars map that is heavily inspired by Mumbai and its various landmarks. New emotes based on Mumbai lingo will also be introduced to the game soon.

Battle Stars is an online multiplayer shooter that offers 4v4 battles between players with different characters with their own strengths and weaknesses. SuperGaming recently secured financing through an investment by Bandai Namcoand is also working on his upcoming battle royale game Indus, and Android users can already sign up at the game’s pre-registration page for updates ahead of its release.
