Returnal is heading to PC next month and with that Sony has unveiled new features and system requirements for the upcoming port. Developers Housemarque and Porter Climax Studios have teamed up to bring the once-PS5-exclusive roguelike to PC on February 15th. Returnal on PC comes with support for Nvidia’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR upscaling techniques, in addition to DualSense compatibility, which ensures haptic feedback when ripping through the haunted alien planets in the game. Returnal is available for pre-order now on Steam and the Epic Games Store for Rs. 3,999.

Recurring new PC features

similar to the past PlayStation PC ports, return comes with a number of improvements and customizable settings. To start with the above NVIDIA and AMD’s Upscaling methods should allow players to increase their framerate without sacrificing resolution and/or visual quality. As a third-person, Bullet Hell Roguelike, return is littered with tons of moving objects that could put a heavy strain on your GPU – making this feature pretty significant. Also added support for NIS (Nvidia Image Scaling) for gamers who want better performance but don’t have the necessary hardware DLSS or FSR.

Returnal also derives ray-traced shadows from its original PS5 Relationship. However, in personal computer version, co-developer Climax Studios also added support for ray tracing reflections. “This will make the contrast of a dark environment and neon balls stand out even more than before,” he said PlayStation Blog Remarks. Returnal on PC also enables unlocked frame rates, support for ultrawide monitors with aspect ratios between 21:9 and 32:9, and performance metrics – FPS counters, a meter to measure GPU and CPU utilization, and a latency tracker.

All of this comes with boxed Dolby Atmos audiowhich extends its auditory flair to plug-ins DualSense controller. As expected, keyboard and mouse control support is also included, with a wide range of customization options to suit your needs. Returnal PC also features an FOV (Field-of-View) slider that lets you adjust how much of your surroundings is visible on the screen.

As for the co-op mode, house brand has emphasized that cross-play with players on the PS5 console is not supported.
