The key specs of the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro series were teased by the Chinese smartphone maker on Wednesday, days ahead of the upcoming handsets’ official launch. The company also unveiled the design of the two smartphones, which are expected to debut as part of the Red Magic 8 Pro series, which gave users a first look at the design of the gaming-focused smartphone while revealing the device’s key specs. The smartphone has been touted as the world’s first gaming device to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
On Wednesday, the smartphone maker unveiled the design of the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro and the Nubia Red Magic 8 Transparent Edition post Office on Weibo this also includes the already announced start date of December 26th.
According to the company’s post, the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro will be available in two designs – Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro and Nubia Red Magic 8 Transparent Edition. The handset has a rectangular design with flat edges, which is quite different from the design of its predecessor Red Magic 7 Pro.
Meanwhile, both design variants will feature a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 primary camera sensor, according to the company. The Nubia Red Magic 8 Transparent Edition image also includes a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 icon on the back.
The upcoming gaming smartphone’s display has been confirmed to consist of a newly developed BOE screen panel with symmetrical 1.48mm-thick bezels. Meanwhile, the company claims the handset will offer a 93.7 percent screen-to-body ratio.
For selfies, it’s confirmed that the upcoming gaming smartphone will feature an under-display camera, although the post didn’t reveal the front-facing camera specs.
