Valencia coach Gennaro Gattuso has confirmed his club’s interest in Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil, and he hopes a deal can be completed next week.

Gil arrived to Tottenham from the Spanish giant Sevilla last summer, but the Premier League was difficult for him to play in.

Spurs manager Antonio Conte allowed the winger to return to his homeland in January, where he performed admirably on loan for Valencia in La Liga.

Los Che are eager to have Gil back this season, while Tottenham are willing to let him leave during the current transfer window.

Valencia coach Gattuso has made re-signing Gil a priority, and the player is also interested in the move.

The Italian has confirmed that his club is working on signing Gil and has stated that he hopes to complete a deal with him next week.

“I like Bryan Gil, I like players who want to play football,” Gattuso said at a press conference about Valencia’s intentions to sign Gil.

“We’re looking into it.”

“We’ll fix the problems we have next week.”

The Spaniard also wants to play for his country in the upcoming World Cup, and a return to Valencia, where he is likely to get regular game time, could help him achieve that goal.
