Mumbai: Coronavirus cases in Maharashtra are on the rise once again. On Friday, 1,846 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Maharashtra, bringing the state’s total number of infected patients to 80,93,122. This information was provided by a Health Department official. He stated that four more patients died as a result of infection, bringing the total death toll to 1,48,218. According to the official, two patients died as a result of an infection in Mumbai, while one patient died each in Vasai-Virar and Raigad in the Palghar district. According to the official, 679 of the 1,846 new cases reported in Maharashtra on Friday came from Mumbai alone.
He stated that 2,240 patients have been cured of the disease in the last 24 hours and that 79,33,033 patients have become healthy in the state so far. In Maharashtra, there are currently 11,871 patients receiving Kovid-19 treatment. According to State Health Department data, the state’s recovery rate and the death rate from Kovid-19 are 98.02 and 1.83 percent, respectively. In the last 24 hours, 34,142 samples were tested for COVID-19, according to official data.
