FIFA 23 will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PC, and Stadia on September 23. The game can also be pre-ordered through the official channels. According to a reliable tip, the publisher EA Sports and its India distributor E-xpress have raised the prices of FIFA 23 in the country. This alleged price increase is thought to affect only the PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game.
According to 0xSkeptic (@RishiAlwani), the FIFA 23 Standard Edition on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X will cost Rs. 4,799 instead of Rs. 4,499. Similarly, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, this version could cost Rs. 4,299 instead of Rs. 3,999. According to Alwani, EA may have taken this action due to currency fluctuations.
FIFA 23 Standard Edition was still available for the original price on Xbox and PlayStation at the time of publication. However, the tip suggests that they may soon change.
The pricing of FIFA 23 in India recently created a stir when Epic Games accidentally listed the game for Rs. 4.8 on its online store. Early birds were able to get the game for this price instead of the normal Rs. 4,799 asking price. This error, however, did not occur on any other platform, including Steam.
Epic Games eventually fixed the mistake. EA Sports then issued a series of emails apologizing for the error. It also assured those early purchasers that they would be able to keep the copy.
FIFA 23 will be the final game in the decades-long franchise, and it will be known as EA Sports FC beginning next year, as the franchise introduces women’s leagues for the first time. The game includes new features such as improved HyperMotion2 technology, women’s leagues, and more.
