ORLANDO, Fla. – To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Cinemark is taking its audiences back to 1984 with a series of retro films and prices.
In a series they are calling “Big in ‘84” movie lovers can see some of the biggest hits from 1984 for just $5 per ticket.
These classic films first appeared on Cinemark theaters screens the year they opened and now, 40 years later these most loved movies will take the big screen again for one week in August.
The schedule is as follows:

August 12 – The Karate Kid

August 13 – The Terminator

August 14 – Gremlins

August 15 – Purple Rain

August 16 – Ghostbusters

August 17 – A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Last Starfighter

August 18 – Footloose, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
This will start Monday, Aug. 12 and ends Sunday, Aug. 18. For more information on which theaters are participating or where to buy tickets visit the Cinemark “Big in ’84″ website.
Texas-based Cinemark has three movie theaters in Central Florida.
