Mission Majnu Teaser: Sidharth Malhotra takes risks as a covert RAW agent

Mission Majnu, an upcoming spy thriller movie starring Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandana, released its official teaser on Friday. The film is set to premiere exclusively on the OTT platform starting January 23, 2023. The teaser for the upcoming film gives a sneak peek into Sidharth’s character as an undercover agent for RAW. This will be Rashmika’s second Bollywood release. The film is directed by Shantanu Bagchi and produced by RSVP and GBA.

The makers of Mission Majnu unveiled the teaser of the highly anticipated spy thriller at India Gate in the National Capital. Except for main actors Rashmika and Sidharththe teaser also gives a glimpse of other prominent actors including Kumud Mishra (yogi), Parmeet Sethi (Rustom), Sharib Hashmi (Dhaakad) and Mir Sarwar (Bajrangi Bhaijaan).

Mission Majnu is a patriotic thriller set in the 1970s. The thriller begins with mention of the 1971 war between India and Pakistan over the breakup of Bangladesh. Sidharth’s character, a RAW agent on his mission in Pakistan, takes risks to prove his love for the country. He has been described as a “heroic RAW agent” who is not mentioned in the story.

The protagonist stars in one of India’s most secretive operations to bring down Pakistan’s efforts to launch a nuclear attack. However, the teaser also hints that the film is a love story at its core. Rashmika is seen dressed as a bride in one of the few glimpses, playing the love interest of the RAW agent, who was also shown as the groom in the teaser.

Directed by Shantanu Bagchi and produced by RSVP and GBA, Mission Majnu is ready publication exclusively on the OTT platform Netflix on January 20, 2023.

The film will be Rashmika’s second Bollywood venture after recently starring in Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta’s ‘Goodbye’.
