Pathaan Box Office: SRK Film breaks records in India and overseas

Main role played by Shah Rukh Khan Pathan has shown no signs of relinquishing its dominance at the box office since its theatrical debut on January 25. 832.20 million at the worldwide box office as of February 6. Fan demand also played a key role in its success, with morning screenings as early as 6am across India. From a national perspective, the film overtook Aamir Khan Dangal also last week.

abroad within 12 days, Pathan has grossed $38.68 million (approx. Rs. 320 crore) after raising £2.45 million (approx. Rs. 24 crore) in the UK opening weekend. It finished second, right behind James Camerons much expected Avatar: The Way of Water. The film set another record in the US, grossing US$9.48 million (approx. Rs. 78 crore) in its first week, which is a record for the Hindi film. acc Box office mojoit currently ranks third in the US, followed by the animated film directed by Joel Crawford Puss in Boots: The Last Wish at $140.7 million (about Rs. 1,164 crore).

Pathan revolves around the eponymous RAW agent Feroz Pathaan (khan), who is called back into the force to prevent a terrorist attack. John Abraham (attack) plays Jim, the leader of a mercenary outfit X group who was once a RAW agent before turning villain. Deepika Padukone (Chennai Express), who has worked with Shah Rukh Khan many times in the past, also appears in the film as ISI agent Rubina Mohsin.

Pathan is now in cinemas worldwide.
