Actor Richa Chadha is set to make her international debut in the Indo-British production Aaina opposite British actor William Moseley. Richa has previously acted in the international film Love Sonia, produced by David Womark but directed by Indian director Tabrez Nooran.

Set between London and India, Ainaa was officially launched and announced by the film’s creators last night at the prestigious House of Lords, attended by British MP Stuart Andrew, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Department for Culture, Media and Sport), alongside the leading actress, the director and the producers of the film.

Director Markus Meedt, who is making his feature film debut with the project, is directing “Ainaa”. The film is a social drama about the impact of war-bred violence both within cultures and on people in the form of PTSD.

About this project Richa said: “I’m excited to work in a new part of the world, I like to experiment. They have assembled an impressive crew of the best talent from India and the UK. It will really be a collaborative effort to make a film that deals with such an important issue. We are currently in London preparing for the film. Filming is expected to begin on June 2nd. I’ve always strived for challenging roles and this is without a doubt one of the toughest roles I’ve ever taken on.”

Starring on screen with Chadha is William Moseley, a renowned British actor who rose to fame as a child actor in the Chronicles of Narnia films. Moseley also had an impressive performance in Indian film Margarita with a strawwho demonstrates his exceptional talent and versatility as an actor.

The film is being produced by Big Cat Films UK and the producers are Geeta Bhalla and PJ Singh.

In addition, Richa will soon be appearing in Zees Nurse Manjot, the third installment in the hit comedy series Fukrey 3, and in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Netflix series Heeramandi.
