LONDON – The weather outside may be terrible, but the myriad of views inside can be downright delightful.

During interviews over the past few weeks, The Associated Press asked celebrities promoting their own projects in Europe what they wanted to see this winter season:

LUCAS BRAVO and DARREN STAR (“Emily in Paris”):

“I just have so many shows to catch up on. I have fantasies about what I’m going to watch, but I never really get to it, you know. I never really watched ‘The Sopranos’ like I should have,” Star said. the creator of “Emily in Paris” said.

But does it feel like work catching up on other TV shows?

“Not when they’re that old,” Star said. “I don’t mind going back and watching the old shows because then I’m not thinking about them in that moment — like, ‘Damn, how is it that good?'”

Added Bravo, the actor who plays love interest and chef Gabriel on the Netflix show Another vote for “The Sopranos” and Added “Twin Peaks”. to his list – but there is another show first.

“I’m watching ‘Tokyo Vice’ right now – such a spectacular show,” said the French actor. “I really wanted to be there the way Japan is filmed. It’s very engaging, very good.”

MARTIN CLUNES (“Doc Martin”):

Clunes, who played the titular fish-out-of-water-and-into-rural-cornwall-doctor on the ITV show since 2004, chose “ghosts”.

“I love ‘ghosts.’ I absolutely love ‘Ghosts’ because just because they’re all so good and they’re all into each other so much they all kind of thrive doesn’t it?” he said of the BBC sitcom about a couple who inherits an old house, which is haunted by some quirky characters. A US customization will be broadcast by CBS.

“They’re all so smart,” Clunes said of the British show’s cast. “I’ve worked with a few of them. Well, we had Mathew Baynton downstairs. He had his finger chopped off in an early ‘Doc Martin’.”

WILLIAM ABADIE and LUCIEN LAVISCOUNT (“Emily in Paris”)

The Emily in Paris actors turn to the environment for their winter watches.

“I love nature documentaries. I’ve been vegan for a few years,” said Abadie, who plays perfumer and PR client Antoine.

He’s also fascinated by documentaries about nutrition and global warming: “I just put them on a loop and listen, trying to understand the data, how it’s explained and so on.”

Laviscount, who plays Emily’s love interest Alfie, Chasing a “similar vibe” and said he’s into “everything, inspiration, inspirational stuff.”

“I kind of have to keep that going, especially in the winter months, so inspirational kind of adventure shows I’m into,” he said.

A show he’s hooked on at the moment? “Wednesday.”

DOUGLAS HODGE and BLAKE HARRISON (“I Hate Suzie Too”)

“I suppose I see quite a bit of horror with my wife when it gets dark.” Hodge said much to Harrison’s dismay when the two “I Hate Suzie Too” actors were interviewed together.

Sky’s three-part I Hate Suzie sequel centers on a former child star, played by Billie Piper. Hodge plays her ex-husband while Harrison plays Suzie’s rival in a dance competition show within the show.

Harrison, on the other hand, “is trying to indoctrinate my daughter into it Tolkien’s World” despite his wife’s dislike.

“I went through a period where me and my brother got together every Christmas season and watched all three extended editions of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ in one day – it would be like a 12-and-a-bit hour marathon,” he explained. “Obviously I have kids now so it doesn’t happen that often even though I’m just starting to introduce ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’ to my daughter. She’s getting slow – and she’s kind of in it.”

BRUNO GOUERY and SAMUEL ARNOLD (“Emily in Paris”)

Back to Paris again, where Arnold and Gouery play Julien and Luc, employees of a Paris PR firm.

Arnold is seasonally appropriate: “Christmas movies – like Home Alone, Die Hard – all those Christmas movies.”

Gouery, on the other hand, is set for a different time: spooky season, contributed to it getting dark so early.

“I also like comedy,” he said. “And in another way, the two opposite things: I like horror movies, you know, movies like ‘Scary Movie’, ‘The Shining’, ‘Psycho’. You look at me, ‘He’s crazy.’”

“Remind me not to celebrate Christmas with you, brother,” Arnold replied.
