ORLANDO, Fla. – Weddings can be incredibly expensive, so it’s important for couples to pick the best location to get the most bang for their buck.

That’s why this week, WalletHub released its ranking of the best places to get married in 2025, examining cities across the nation to figure out which ones were most worthy of that special occasion.

“At WalletHub, we understand the logistical and financial stresses of that typically long march to ‘I do,’” the study reads. “To assist with the planning process, we compared more than 180 U.S. cities to find the cheapest and most convenient wedding destinations that also promise a memorable day.”

The ranking took into account three primary factors, including costs, facilities/services, and activities/attractions. Those factors break down as follows:

    • Costs (40%) — This includes average wedding costs; the price of a three-star hotel room; restaurant meal costs; and the prevalence of affordable wedding logistics.

    • Facilities & Services (30%) — This includes the per-capita rate of wedding chapels; churches; venues/event spaces; party equipment rentals; photo booth rentals; event planners; videographers; photographers; musicians and DJs; makeup artists and hair salons; bridal shops; flower/gift shops; limousine rentals; hotels; restaurants; catering companies; bartenders; floral designers; and cake shops.

    • Activities & Attractions (30%) — This includes the number of attractions; the popularity as a travel destination; the foodie-friendliness; weather; and amusement/entertainment.

After examining all of those variables, researchers determined that the top spot to get married was none other than the top dog of Central Florida itself: Orlando.

The City Beautiful earned over 80 points, scoring high thanks to its wedding-related facilities and the number of attractions nearby.

“Orlando, FL, is the best city to get married in, largely due to the high availability of essential wedding services. For example, it ranks at the top of the nation when it comes to the number of venues, party equipment rentals, videographers, DJs and flower shops per capita. Being in a big city like Orlando can make the logistics of getting everything together much smoother – when one vendor is booked for a certain date or doesn’t meet the couple’s tastes, there’s always others to look at.

The second pillar of an ideal wedding is, of course, the guests. Orlando is a good place for out-of-town guests to stay in because it has the second-highest number of hotels per capita in the country and its three-star hotels can be surprisingly cheap for a big city. Plus, guests who want to stay for more than just the wedding can enjoy Orlando’s abundant attractions – it ranks second among the most fun cities and is the third-best city for foodies.”

Orlando wasn’t the only big pick from Florida on this list, though. Miami in South Florida came in at No. 3, and Tampa on the Gulf Coast just barely eked its way into the top 5.

“Miami has an abundance of choices for wedding vendors, ranking especially high for things like the number of venues, party equipment rentals, makeup artists, bridal shops, bartenders, and limousine services per capita,” the study reads. “If you’re looking for some gourmet cuisine to feed your wedding guests, Miami is an especially good spot, since it ranks as the top city for foodies in America.”
