NEW YORK – “Top Gun: Misfits”, Steven Spielberg and the Stars from The Banshees of Inisherin will collect prizes on Sunday evening National Examination Board Awards in New York.
The annual non-televised gala will be held at Cipriani’s in Midtown Manhattan and will be hosted by Willie Geist. Taking place two days before Tuesday’s Golden Globes, the NBR Awards will help kick-start Hollywood’s awards season. Voting for Academy Awards nominations begins Thursday.
The National Board of Review, a longstanding group of film enthusiasts and academics, names its winners before the ceremony. Top Gun: Maverick won Best Picture.
Other awards include Steven Spielberg (“The Fabelmans”) for Best Director, Colin Farrell (“The Banshees of Inisherin”) for Best Actor, his co-star Brendan Gleeson for Best Supporting Actor, Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere at Once”) for Best Actress and Janelle Monae (“Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”) for Best Supporting Actress.
