Warner Bros. is reportedly considering three different release scenarios for The Flash

There are apparently several release options being considered for The Flash movie project. The Hollywood Reporter claims that Warner Bros. is debating how to release the movie in light of the main actor Ezra Miller’s current legal troubles. The company is also considering a worst-case scenario, which might result in the picture being completely shelved. The DC Comics superhero movie is slated to arrive in theatres on June 23, 2023, but right now, everything hinges on Miller’s internal collaboration and pre-release actions.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. Discovery is taking three major situations into consideration. The 29-year-old actor seeks professional assistance and explains their abnormal actions in a proper interview. In the first scenario, WB releases The Flash on the specified date under the leadership of new CEO David Zaslav. Miller (Zack Snyder’s Justice League) will thereafter engage in a small amount of pre-cinema press.

Option 2 is based on the case in which the actor declines to ask for assistance. Warner Bros. would release the movie as scheduled, but Miller would not have a significant involvement in the advertising or marketing effort. In fact, they would be replaced in upcoming productions, which is devastating to the business given that the 2023 movie was meant to launch the multimillion-dollar DC Comics film franchise.

The most extreme scenario, which takes into consideration Miller’s ongoing legal issues, is Scenario 3. As a result, Warner Bros. would have to cancel the entire film because it cannot be reshot with a different star. According to the rumour, Miller will play several different versions of Barry Allen in the movie, placing his face in nearly every scene. This makes it virtually impossible to preserve the $200 million (about Rs. 1,593 crore) movie, even with retakes.

Prior to this revelation, The Flash was thought to be safe for release, based on Warner Bros. discovery’s most recent 10-year plan to build a controlled DC storyline similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As part of the decision, the company cancelled the Leslie Grace-led Batgirl film, as well as Wonder Twins and Scoob! Holiday Haunt, because it did not match their concept of maximising financial returns. According to reports, Batgirl was subjected to private test screenings, where audiences deemed it “irredeemable.”

Throughout the summer, Miller was frequently called upon to provide extra photos for The Flash. This came after the actor had already been charged and arrested for unruly conduct in public. According to Rolling Stone, the actor was charged with criminal burglary earlier this week and had a run-in with Vermont’s child services department after the disappearance of a mother and three children who were supposedly residing at Miller’s farm.
