Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition Unveiled: Slimmer Design and Limited Launch Regions

Samsung is set to unveil its latest innovation in the foldable smartphone market under a new name: the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. Contrary to earlier rumors and potential names like Galaxy Z Fold Slim, Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim, Galaxy Z Fold Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra, the device will officially bear the title Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.

According to renowned leakster Evan Blass, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will feature a sleek design with a 6.5-inch outer screen and an expansive 8-inch inner display. The device will measure just 4.9mm thick when unfolded and 10.6mm thick when folded, bringing it closer in thickness to competitors like the Honor Magic V3 and Xiaomi Mix Fold 4. While Samsung’s new foldable may not match the exact dimensions of these rivals, it represents a notable advancement in slim design compared to previous models.

However, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is expected to be released exclusively in Korea and China, which has raised some concerns among global fans. The anticipated launch dates are September for Korea and October for China, though there remains hope that Samsung might expand availability in the future.

This latest development underscores Samsung’s continued commitment to pushing the boundaries of foldable technology while addressing consumer demand for more compact and versatile devices.
