The United Nations nuclear watchdog said in a statement on Tuesday that if access talks succeed, it will visit the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine within days.
IAEA chief Rafael Grossi was quoted in the statement as saying, “I’m continuing to consult very actively and intensively with all parties.” If ongoing negotiations are successful, “the mission (to Zaporizhzhia) is anticipated to take place within the next few days.”
