Infinix has officially launched its new Zero 40 series, introducing both the Zero 40 4G and Zero 40 5G variants. These smartphones offer a range of advanced features and cater to different connectivity needs, with a focus on high-performance specifications and versatile functionality.
Both models sport a 6.74-inch curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and impressive brightness levels—up to 1,300 nits. The Zero 40 4G refreshes at 120Hz, while the 5G version boasts a higher 144Hz refresh rate. Each phone includes a 50MP front camera (JN1 sensor) and an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security.
On the rear, both models are equipped with a 108MP main camera featuring Samsung’s ISOCELL HM6 sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS), complemented by a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The Zero 40 5G enhances video capabilities with up to 4K recording at 60fps, whereas the Zero 40 is limited to 2K resolution at 30fps.
A standout feature of the series is the GoPro mode, which allows users to connect their Zero 40 phones to a compatible GoPro camera, enabling them to use the phone as a viewfinder and control shooting modes directly from the camera app. The GoPro Quik app is pre-installed on both models for seamless integration.
Under the hood, the Zero 40 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The Zero 40, on the other hand, features the Helio G100 chipset with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Both models run on XOS 14.5 based on Android 14, with three years of security patches and two Android version updates.
In terms of connectivity, the Zero 40 supports Wi-Fi 5, while the 5G variant offers faster Wi-Fi 6e support. Both phones feature a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W wired charging, with the 5G model also supporting up to 20W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
The Zero 40 4G comes in Misty Aqua, Blossom Glow, and Rock Black, while the Zero 40 5G is available in Violet Garden, Moving Titanium, and Rock Black. Pricing starts at MYR 1,200 ($279) for the 8GB/256GB version of the Zero 40 and MYR 1,699 ($395) for the Zero 40 5G. Open sales in Malaysia are set to begin on September 8.
