New camera features will be available soon for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series

The Galaxy S22, which includes the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, is set to receive a new update soon that will improve the cameras. The company will soon release a software update for the three smartphones, as announced in a forum post, adding some new features to the cameras while improving their performance.

The Galaxy S22 series smartphones could only record hyperlapse videos with the ultrawide and main cameras until now. Now, the new update will add the ability to shoot hyperlapse videos with the 3x telephoto camera. An “Astro hyperlapse” mode is also said to be in the works, but it will not be available anytime soon.

The Galaxy S22’s built-in QR code scanner will be improved in the upcoming update. Users will notice a larger scanning area and faster processing after the update. Users will also be able to scan QR codes within documents with the upcoming update.

Samsung claims that the upcoming update will improve HDR performance and color reproduction for photos taken on the Galaxy S22 series. With the upcoming update, the videos will be more stable, and the quality will improve. Memory usage and AI performance for photos, videos, and Night mode are also said to be optimized.

The Galaxy S21 series will also get the 3x telephoto hyperlapse and QR code improvements. The aforementioned features are currently being rolled out to Galaxy S21 users in select regions.

With the latest update in South Korea, the Galaxy S22 series has also begun to receive new camera features and improvements. We anticipate that the update will be rolled out in other regions soon.
