Elon Musk said Monday Twitter would limit voting on policy-related polls to paying Twitter Blue subscribers, the same day users voted decisively in a poll for Musk to step down as the social media platform’s chief executive.
musk responded to a suggestion by a Twitter Blue Subscriber who said only subscribers should vote on policy polls with “Good point. Twitter will make this change” without specifying when the change would go into effect.
Good point. Twitter will make this change.

The poll results capped a turbulent week that included changes twitters Privacy Directive and the suspension – and reinstatement – of journalist accounts condemned by news organizations, advocacy groups and officials across Europe.
Then on Sunday, Twitter suspended accounts promoting competing social media platforms like Facebook in a now-deleted tweet, drawing questions from even longtime Musk supporters, including Twitter founder Jack Dorsey.
Musk said Sunday he would stick to the results of the CEO survey, but didn’t say when he would step down if the results indicated it would. He has not yet named a successor for the role.
Since the October acquisition, Musk has swiftly fired top management and thousands of employees, vacillated over how much to charge for the social media company’s Twitter Blue subscription service, and restored accounts that were suspended under previous management, including that of former US President Donald Trump.
Twitter earlier this month re-enabled Twitter Blue signups, with individual accounts getting a blue tick, while gold and gray ticks denote business and government accounts.
The monthly subscription price for the service is US$8 (approx. Rs. 600) on the web and US$11 (approx. Rs. 1,000) on Apple devices.
