These calls can also come from numbers that are not saved in your contact list. The feature was announced early last week and is available on both the stable versions of WhatsApp for mobile apps Android And iOS. Users can still see when they miss a call from unknown numbers.

While users will continue to receive these calls or receive a missed call notification when they don’t see it, muting the calls from unknown numbers can avoid disruption as these calls will not ring.
If you want to put calls from unknown numbers in silent mode in your WhatsApp call, you can follow the steps below:
1. Open WhatsApp on your smartphone
2. Go to “Settings” and select the “Privacy” option.
3. In the “Privacy” option, select the “Calls” tab.
4. Here you can activate the switch for “Mute unknown calls”.
Android users can access the “Settings” by clicking on the dot option, while iPhone users can select the gear icon to go to the “Settings” menu.
Also, users can turn off the “Mute Unknown Calls” option if they still want to hear calls from contacts not saved in their contacts, including spam calls.
Alternatively, users can save the numbers to their contact lists if they don’t want to miss important calls from known numbers that are not saved.
