Swiatek had aided Poland’s advancement to the finals in April, but this year’s tournament will take place from November 8 to 13, just one day after the WTA Finals, which will conclude the season and be held in Fort Worth, Texas.

“I’m disappointed that tennis’ governing bodies couldn’t agree on something so fundamental as the tournament schedule, which would have allowed us to travel around the world in just one day and change the time zone.”
