Taiwan has tracked 21 Chinese fighter planes and 5 naval ships, according to a report

Taipei: The Chinese army is encircling Taiwan on all sides. Taiwan has identified 21 Chinese warplanes and five naval ships operating throughout the country. Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense stated that they tracked 17 Chinese military aircraft and five ships across the country until 5 p.m. on Friday. According to the military, eight of the 17 People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) warplanes crossed the Taiwan Strait midline.

According to the statement, the tracked aircraft included four Xi’an JH-7 fighter-bombers, two Sukhoi Su-30 fighters, and two Shenyang J-11 jets. At the northern end, JH-7 and Su-30 jets crossed the midline, while two J-11 fighters crossed at the southern end.

According to Taiwan News, the ministry stated that Combat Air Patrols (CAP), naval ships, and air defence missile systems are keeping an eye on Chinese activities. Indeed, China is outraged by US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. Six Chinese naval ships and 51 fighter planes had violated its border the day before.

Tensions rose again on Sunday when another US congressional delegation visited Taiwan. Meanwhile, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) shared footage of the Penghu islands on social media. In which it was stated that his jets were close to Taiwan.
